  • Methocarbamol (Robaxin) 750 1-2 tab q8h, less sedating, about $15 for 90 pill
  • Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) 5 to 10 mg tid, may cause drowsiness, 5 mg is recommended. about $8 for 90 pills
  • Carisoprodol (Soma) Schedule IV, potential for being abused. Avoid.
  • metazalone (Skelaxin) 800 mg tid, best tolerated, more expensive about $80 for 90 pill.
  • Tizanidine (Zanaflex): more for spasticity, fewer side effect. About $20/90 tab
  • Baclofen: mainly used for spasticity. Cause drowsiness. About $15 for 90 tab
