  • over 9000 adults atudied
    • within 3 hour
    • Glasgow Coma Scale < 13 or
    • evidence of intracranial bleed on CT
    • patients with nonreactive pupils excluded

    • 1 gram over 10 min iv, followed by 1 gram infusion over 8 hours
