- duration of infection
- head injury
Imaging
- MRI patch white matter changes
- CSF: elevated
CSF protein, hiv levels
Evaluate for other causes
- Especially those with focal neuro deficits
- Blood toxoplasma
- CSF JC vurus pcr, EBV pcr, CMV pcr
- CSF syphilis, crptococcal ag, cmv pcr
